This family session was such a BLAST! This sweet family traveled in from out-of-state to go to a family wedding, and while they were here in Michigan they booked a session with me at the gorgeous Chippewa Nature Center in Midland. I’d never been there before, but it was an absolutely incredible location!

They’re kids had been cooped up in the car for 3 days while traveling, so when they got to the nature center I pretty quickly realized we’d need to do some fun running prompts to get their energy out and let them get used to me, the stranger shoving a big camera in their face. 😂

The kids all warmed up pretty quickly, although the baby (understandably) clung to her parents the whole time. Stranger danger is important, and I’m never upset when kids are wary of me to begin with!

I love it when I meet someone and feel like long-time friends after just an hour of chatting and swapping stories, and this was definitely one of those scenarios! I hope we can do it again next year!
